Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our automotive industry client, who is seeking a Cost Engineer for an initial twelve-month assignment.
About the role
You will be responsible for evaluating product, development and investment costs for current and future product development plans at a system or part level, and for working proactively toward achieving cost target objectives with project teams across product platforms in conjunction with the Purchasing and Engineering functions.

* Evaluate product, development and investment costs for current and future product development plans at a system or part level.
* Work with Purchasing and Engineering to achieve cost targets across product platforms.
Qualifications
* Experience of product cost management.
* Knowledge of automotive cost estimating and engineering practices.
* Experience in technical negotiations.
* Experience in developing suppliers to determine good value for money products.
* Experience with Siemens TcPCM Product Costing or similar software solutions (Desirable).
