Workshop Repair Technician – Mechanical & Hydraulic Systems
Location: Bradford
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:45am – 4:15pm (39 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + regular overtime
The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Repair Technician to join our clients busy and expanding engineering team in Bradford. This hands-on role involves the inspection, assessment, repair, and reassembly of a wide range of hydraulic and mechanical equipment including gearboxes, winches, hot blocks, hydraulic pumps and motors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy industry, plant machinery, HGV or crane maintenance, and be confident working with both mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strip, assess, and rebuild hydraulic and mechanical units such as gearboxes, winches, hot blocks, and hydraulic pumps/motors.
2. Clean, inspect, and identify faults, wear, or defects in mechanical components.
3. Repair or replace damaged components and reassemble equipment to manufacturer standards.
4. Compile accurate inspection and test reports for internal records and customer reference.
