Account Director, Corporate Communications - Global Agency
London
FleishmanHillard London is a multi-award-winning agency with a reputation for combining deep sector expertise with bold, creative thinking. Our Corporate Affairs team includes strategists, media specialists, ex-journalists and former in-house leads – all working together to build trust and influence across stakeholder groups.
We’re looking for a strategic, media-savvy Account Director to join our award-winning Corporate Affairs team. You’ll partner with the senior management team to lead work for high-profile clients across industry sectors — shaping corporate narratives, navigating reputational challenges, and delivering standout campaigns that drive real-world impact. This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to step into a broader leadership role. You’ll balance hands-on delivery with strategic oversight, team mentorship, and new business input.
The role
As an Account Director, you’ll:
* Act as day-to-day lead on client accounts, providing strategic counsel and trusted partnership to senior stakeholders
* Develop and deliver corporate communications strategies across media, digital, internal and stakeholder channels
* Lead media engagement programmes and secure high-quality earned coverage through strong journalist relationships
* Navigate reputational issues, from crisis response to regulatory positioning and change communications
* Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a high-performance, inclusive and collaborative culture
* Drive organic growth and play a key role in new business – from ideation and pitch strategy to proposal writing
About you
You’ll be a natural communicator with a proactive mindset, creative ideas, and a strong understanding of how to build and protect reputations. You’ll also bring:
* Previous experience in corporate communications – ideally within an agency
* Proven ability to deliver integrated communications programmes from strategy through to execution
* Strong knowledge of the UK media and political landscape
* Demonstrated experience in issues and crisis management
* Confidence advising senior stakeholders and managing complex or sensitive challenges
* Commercial awareness and the ability to spot opportunities for growth
* A team-first attitude, with a passion for mentoring others and driving excellence
* An interest in innovation, particularly how AI is shaping the future of communications
A few things we think you’ll love:
* A friendly and inclusive team with a global reach
* Opportunities to work across multi-market campaigns and collaborate across our Omnicom network
* A clear pathway for growth, development and leadership
* Global mobility and secondment opportunities
* Flexible hybrid working with a culture thattrulyvalues work-life balance
* Amazing Culture Club perks – from rooftop yoga to in-house massages
* Comprehensive wellbeing and benefits package (including BUPA, generous parental leave, gym membership, fertility & menopause support)
* Generous holidays, including birthday leave, Christmas closure and sabbatical options
We’d love to hear from you. Apply now and let’s make something brilliant, together.
