Role Description
We have a new opportunity for a Team Leader (Operations). You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of a fully-remote project management team and embedding a culture of excellence through example. You will also be responsible for the management of your own clients, taking localisation projects from quotation stage to final delivery. You will report on team performance to senior management and contribute to the strategic goals and objectives of The Translation People.
The tasks include:
* Driving implementation and compliance to agreed processes to achieve team performance, quality and efficiency targets.
* Identifying improvement opportunities to enhance productivity.
* Demonstrating compliance with industry standards and operational best practice.
* Identifying training needs and promoting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
* Carrying out performance reviews and monitoring the success of follow-up actions.
* Training, development and induction of team members to improve team capability.
* Mentoring of all team members.
* Collaboratively leading daily project delivery across the team by managing and coordinating day-to-day workload.
* Monitoring team and personal performance against targets and KPIs.
* Reporting on team performance against budget.
* Monitor pricing and margins in line with budget.
* Reporting on client needs and requirements to ensure alignment with company-wide goals.
* Support the New Business function in the onboarding of new client accounts.

* Complaint handling and reporting
The successful candidate must have English to native standard and should be a graduate in translation studies, modern languages or similar. Proven experience in a similar role in the translation industry is essential. You should share our passion for language and delivering a high-quality service.
