Job Title: Design & Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Stockton-On-Tees
Salary: £180 - £260 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: April 2026
About the Role
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Design & Technology Teacher with a strong engineering background to work in one of our partner secondary schools in Stockton-On-Tees.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging DT lessons, with a focus on engineering principles, materials, and practical workshop skills across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons with an engineering focus
* Prepare and support students for GCSE and/or BTEC examinations
* Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
* Contribute to the wider DT department and school community
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred but not essential for strong candidates with relevant experience)
* Degree or professional background in Engineering, Design & Technology, or a related field
* Experience teaching DT in a secondary school or relevant industry experience
* Strong practical workshop skills and knowledge of health and safety
* Passion for education and inspiring young people
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
