This is an exciting role to teach and assess electrical installation at Harrogate College, delivering Level 3 Installation and Maintenance apprenticeships.

You will join an enthusiastic, proactive team that strives to achieve the best results for learners. The team collaborates to ensure excellent outcomes.

We have a well-equipped, industry-standard, professional workshop for practical teaching. The role will also involve visiting learners in the workplace to assess their knowledge, skills, and behaviors in practice.

As an Electrical Assessor at Harrogate College, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of electricians. Your main responsibilities include delivering high-quality, engaging teaching and assessment. You will design and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance learning.

Additionally, you will contribute to developing the electrical apprenticeship curriculum, ensuring it stays current with industry trends and technological advancements. This includes creating new course materials, updating existing ones, and participating in curriculum reviews, involving employers to enrich the learning experience.

This role requires a dynamic individual committed to student success and effective collaboration with colleagues, industry partners, and the community.


What You Will Do

* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to apprentices.
* Assess learners' practical abilities against apprenticeship standards, including knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
* Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet learners' needs.
* Assess and provide feedback on student progress.
* Support learners in achieving their educational goals.
* Ensure compliance with all college policies and procedures.
* Participate in professional development to enhance teaching skills.
* Collaborate with colleagues to improve the overall learning experience.
* Complete administrative duties as required.


About You

* Passionate about your subject with a commitment to creating an excellent teaching and learning environment.
* Qualified to Level 3 or above in electrical installation with some industry experience.
* You do not need to be a qualified assessor or teacher initially; we will support you in obtaining necessary qualifications. Motivated by helping others learn and making a difference is essential.
