Robert Half are recruiting for Temporary Payroll‑focused Bookkeeper to support a Southampton‑based organisation during a busy period.
This role is primarily payroll‑led, with bookkeeping duties supporting the payroll and wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
End‑to‑end payroll processing (weekly and/or monthly) Processing starters, leavers, and payroll changes
Calculating pay, deductions, overtime, SSP/SMP Submitting payroll to HMRC (RTI)
Handling payroll queries from employees
Preparing and submitting P45s, P60s and P11Ds
Pension contributions and auto‑enrolment administration
Supporting payroll reconciliations Light bookkeeping duties including:
Bank reconciliations Posting payroll journals
Assisting with VAT returns (where required)
About You:
Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
Able to work independently and hit payroll deadlines
Immediately available or on short notice
