Are you passionate about integrating electro-mechanical components and bringing innovative designs to life? Our stealth startup in Paddington, London is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join our cutting-edge team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, development, and integration of electro-mechanical components with a focus on compact, high-performance systems.
* Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of front and back-end software engineers to ensure seamless integration with mobile applications.
* Wireless power management and control interface development for advanced electromechanical systems.
* Work on electropneumatic actuators and fluidic circuits.
* Engage with C-suite to drive key projects.
* Occasional travel between London and Milan for short trips.
Your profile
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or Robotic Engineering (or equivalent).
* Strong experience in the integration of electro-mechanical systems.
* Design experience with electropneumatic actuators and fluidic circuits (highly desirable).
* Hands-on experience with CAD software for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
* Knowledge of low-power electronics and wireless recharging technologies is a plus.
Technical & Coding Skills:
* Proficiency in mechanical system design and integration.
* Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and control systems.
* Experience with motion control systems (e.g., stepper motors, servo motors, and solenoid valves).
* Knowledge of pneumatics and fluid dynamics.
* Embedded systems programming experience (e.g., Arduino IDE, Raspberry Pi, STM32).
* Proficiency in Python for scripting and prototyping.
* C/C++ for microcontroller programming.
* Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for control systems modeling and simulation (a plus).
* Familiarity with wireless power transfer and mobile app integration (desirable).
Industry Experience:
* Experience in automation or robotics is a plus.
* Familiarity with ISO standards and safety standards in mechatronic systems.
* Experience with industrial automation and control systems (desirable).
Soft Skills:
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
* Team player with strong communication skills, especially when working with C-suite members.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* A track record of working in fast-paced or startup environments is a plus.
