A vacancy has arisen for a Cpl (A Tech (Av or M)) to serve as JNCO, Engineering Support Cell within the BBMF at RAF Coningsby on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 June 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). This role is a dual trade position for either an Avionics or Mechanical JNCO, working within the Training Cell, delivering training on flight line operations, Phase 3 ‘Q’ course tuition and supplementing the BBMF shift system during periods of high demand during the display season on the 5 different ac types of the BBMF. They will be responsible for: Processing new arrivals and postings to/from the BBMF. Controlling, monitoring and managing BBMF personnel authorisations using the Squadron Training Achievement and Recording System (STARS). Controlling, monitoring and managing – in conjunction with RAF Coningsby’s FSS Authorisations Controller – BBMF Local Authorisations. The delivery of BBMF Line Training including ensuring that Flight Servicing Competency Checks (FSCC), Aircraft Servicing Standards Checks (ASSC) and Flight Line Handling Checks (FLHC) are undertaken and recorded. Ensuring that F4820A’s are current, and amendments are annotated, read and signed for by personnel and that personnel records are reviewed annually. Acting as PPE & RPE coordinator for Engineering Personnel ensuring that service supplied items are maintained in a serviceable condition. Assisting the Technical Support Manager when trade specific information needs to be researched. Carry out any other associated duties required by the flight.
