Warehouse Operative
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We are pleased to be working with a highly successful National Distribution company. This is an excellent chance to join a company on a temporary to permanent basis, offering ongoing training, progression, and development opportunities.
Duties of the Warehouse Operative:
Working within the Goods In and out departments
Sorting customer returns and handling related challenges
Keeping working areas clean, safe, and organised
Stock control and maintaining optimum inventory levels
Loading and unloading of products
Quality checking all incoming and outgoing goods
Using the in-house computer system to update stock movements
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience within a warehouse environment
Familiar with logistics or warehouse management computer systems
Able to complete manual handling tasks, including some heavy lifting
Flexible and willing to assist in other areas when needed
Keen to progress within the company and take on new responsibilities
Good understanding of logistics, distribution, and supply chain processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Forklift licence is desirable but not essential - training can be provided
Lives locally to the Chelmsford area
