About The Role

As a member of the Library & Archives senior management team you will lead on all aspects of strategic development and operational management of the Modern Record Centre (MRC), including the University Archives and Special Collections. You will develop strategies to enhance engagement with the MRC and its collections, manage both physical and digital collections and support teaching, research and community engagement.


Responsibilities

* Lead the MRC team and oversee the archival service.
* Develop strategies to enhance engagement with the MRC and its collections.
* Manage and develop physical and digital collections to support teaching, research and community engagement.
* Represent the MRC at senior level, influencing strategy and partnership building.


About You

You will be a confident, creative leader who sees new possibilities for archives and special collections. You will have:

* Experience of managing archives and special collections and driving innovation (ideally in higher education, but it is not essential).
* A proven ability to unlock the potential of collections for education, research and civic engagement.
* A commitment to inclusivity and successful partnership‑building.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams and influence at a senior level.


Employment Type

Full‑time (we will consider applications for part‑time or flexible working basis).
