3 days per week minimum - flexible
Essential:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
* HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
* Experience working with children and young people with autism and/or learning disabilities.
* Strong understanding of AAC, social communication approaches, and alternative teaching methods.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently across multiple school sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy services to children with LD and ASC in specialist education settings.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised therapy plans in collaboration with school staff and families.
* Provide direct and indirect interventions, including group and 1:1 therapy, classroom strategies, and training for teaching staff.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) including teachers, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and support staff.
* Contribute to and attend annual reviews, EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) meetings, and other relevant case conferences.
* Provide written reports and therapy programmes tailored to individual educational and communication needs.
* Support the development of total communication environments within the school settings.
