We have an exciting opportunity for a domestic assistant to join our team at Coathill Hospital.
The successful candidate will provide domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment that meets NHSL and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards. The role includes supporting new staff in the working environment.

What you'll need to bring
* Knowledge of cleaning standards and procedures
* Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and induction (typically 4-6 weeks)
* Understanding of Health & Safety, including risk assessments
* Completion of NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training
* Mandatory Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) standards
* Completion of NHSS Domestic Services Workbook
* Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work with others and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to perform tasks efficiently in a busy environment
* Basic knowledge of information technology
Note: A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence is required for relevant roles.
Contract details
Permanent, Part-Time, 14.8 hours/week
Salary will be pro-rata based on part-time hours.
Location and working pattern
This role is based in the Domestic Services Department at Coathill Hospital.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 1600-1900, and Friday 1600-1848
