Graduate Science Unqualified Teacher: Candidate Specification
We are seeking a Graduate Science Unqualified Teacher who:
* Holds (or will hold by September 2025) a 2:1 or First Class degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related STEM subject from a top‑30 University
* Has a strong academic record, including excellent GCSEs and A‑Levels in Science and Maths
* Shows a genuine passion for science and a long-term interest in teaching or educational research
* Has excellent verbal and written communication, strong organisational skills, and the confidence to lead classroom sessions
* Previous experience in education as a classroom TA, tutor, mentor, or volunteer (desirable)
Graduate Science Unqualified Teacher: Job Role
As a Graduate Science Unqualified Teacher, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
* Leading small‑group interventions and 1:1 support to boost student understanding and confidence
* Supporting lesson preparation, practical experiments, and classroom management
* Tracking pupil progress, marking exercise books, and providing constructive feedback
* As a Graduate Science Unqualified Teacher you will be collaborating with the Science department to co-develop schemes of work and enrichment activities
