Job Description:
This role is based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital within the Women & Children’s Unit. The Maternal Infant Nutrition Coordinator will support the recommendations within the Maternal and Infant Nutrition Framework across all areas of the hospital.
We seek individuals with a strong interest in Infant Nutrition to advance the Maternal and Infant Nutrition agenda. This is a great opportunity to influence interventions that will positively impact the nutritional health of birthing people and babies.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and motivated midwife or nurse with excellent leadership and communication skills, committed to achieving Scottish Government targets, including the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative.
Essential qualifications include a keen interest in patient safety, strong clinical knowledge, recent CPD, awareness of research-based guidelines, and competent IT skills. The candidate should be able to manage fluctuating workloads, stay focused, and be flexible. A degree-level education is desirable.
The role involves supporting midwives, maternity care assistants, and nursery nurses in their practice and professional development, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals and senior management.
This is a senior midwifery/nursing position with responsibilities for clinical and professional leadership within the organization.
