Senior Account Manager

Reports to: Sales Manager

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 Base Salary dependant on experience

Commission: £24,000 OTE commission (uncapped and guaranteed for 3 months). In additional quarterly team target bonus (worth up to £1,500 per quarter) and monthly KPI bonuses (worth up to £250 per month).

Location: Hybrid – three office days (Milton Park, Oxfordshire) and two flexible days

Job Type: Permanent


Role Overview


We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our Wireless Distribution Team to backfill a team member who is being promoted into management. This role will be responsible for selling our innovative range of networking products and services to channel partners, with a strong focus on growing revenue and gross profit through proactive account development, reactivation of dormant customers and identifying new business opportunities within the existing customer base.


You will be responsible for the complete sales cycle from lead generation and prospect development through to customer meetings, opportunity management and closing deals.


The position will report into the Sales Manager and have responsibility for achieving a monthly gross profit target and wider KPI objectives.


The territory has been successfully developed and provides a strong platform for further growth. The successful candidate will be expected to build on existing relationships, identify untapped opportunities and deliver continued expansion across the account base. This is not a maintenance role — success will come from proactively developing customers, increasing vendor adoption and uncovering new commercial opportunities.

The role offers the autonomy to develop accounts, influence vendor adoption and make a genuine commercial impact within a growing specialist distributor.


Responsibilities and Duties


· Serve as the lead point of contact for all channel partner matters

· Develop trusted advisor relationships with channel partners to influence adoption of new products and technologies

· Create and execute account growth plans to increase spend, vendor penetration and long-term customer value

· Work collaboratively with vendors and internal sales engineers to assist channel partners in developing sales opportunities

· Proactively identify growth opportunities within existing and dormant accounts rather than reactively managing inbound demand

· Develop new business with existing clients and identify new customers to meet and exceed sales quotas

· Consistently achieve and strive to exceed sales, margin and KPI targets through proactive business development and account growth

· Ensure effective CRM management to maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility

· Implement sales strategies to increase revenues and gross profit within the defined customer base

· Ensure customer renewals, marketing leads and sales opportunities are managed effectively and followed through to completion

· Operate effectively as part of a wider team including management, pre/post sales, marketing and project management

· Continuously increase product knowledge, sales skills and commercial awareness

· Deliver exceptional customer service through your own efforts and collaboration with the wider team



Requirements

· Previous B2B sales or account management experience (IT preferable but not essential)

· Commercially driven with a proactive and growth-oriented mindset

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Self-motivated individual who enjoys uncovering opportunities and building long-term commercial relationships

· Strong organisational and pipeline management skills

· Passionate about technology

· Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a wider team environment
