Today, Prestons remains a family business and our locations in Guildford, Leeds, Norwich and Wilmslow showcase the world's finest watch houses and an exquisite selection of fine jewellery, curated by our in-house team of designers, setters and goldsmiths.
We are looking for an experienced CAD Designer to join the team at our central London workshop. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to bring their skills to a dynamic and growing company.
Responsibilities
1. Create 3D models and renderings of jewellery pieces from design briefs using CAD software
2. Work with the design team to ensure that the 3D models accurately reflect their visions
3. Communicate with the workshop to ensure that the designs are feasible for production
4. Collaborate with the design team to technically develop new jewellery collections
5. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all designs
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest jewellery design trends and techniques
About You
The ideal candidate will showcase: at least three years CAD experience (in fine jewellery), a proficiency using Rhino, Matrix or similar CAD and rendering software, proven experience (including portfolio), excellent attention to detail, strong communication and time management skills as well as a comprehensive understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes.
