About the Role
We’re looking for a Laboratory Manager / Technician to join our growing UK team at Alderley Park. This is a hands‑on, varied role at the heart of our laboratories, supporting our chemistry and analytical scientists to do their best work every day.
You’ll help keep our labs running smoothly, safely and efficiently — from managing consumables and equipment to coordinating maintenance and supporting health, safety and quality standards. If you enjoy being organised, solving problems and working as part of a collaborative scientific team, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting chemistry and analytical teams with day‑to‑day laboratory operations
* Managing laboratory stock, consumables, ordering, storage and distribution
* Handling goods‑in, shipping and GMP materials management
* Coordinating calibration, qualification and maintenance of laboratory equipment
* Troubleshooting and maintaining analytical equipment
* Preparing mobile phases and laboratory solutions
* Acting as a key contact for site services and external contractors (maintenance, waste, glassware, lab coats)
* Keeping laboratory asset lists up to date
* Supporting high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping
About You
You’ll ideally have experience working in an organic chemistry or analytical laboratory, and enjoy working in a practical, supportive role.
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Well organised, with good planning and time‑management skills
* A clear and confident communicator
* A collaborative team player with a proactive, can‑do attitude
* Detail‑focused and conscientious
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office
* GxP experience is useful but not essential
