What You’ll Be Doing – A Day in the Life
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting students across the school – academically, emotionally, and socially.
You will:
* Work closely with students in the classroom, supporting their learning and engagement under the guidance of teaching staff.
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN) such as autism, ADHD, or social-emotional challenges.
* Help students to access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop independence.
* Support behaviour management strategies and contribute to a positive, nurturing learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to adapt resources, monitor progress, and implement effective interventions.
* Offer emotional reassurance and use psychology-informed approaches to support wellbeing and resilience.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking enthusiastic and compassionate graduates who are motivated by a genuine desire to support young people.
Ideal candidates will:
* Hold (or be working towards) a degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, or a related field.
* Have a strong interest in SEN, behaviour support, or child development.
* Be a great communicator who’s calm, adaptable, and empathetic.
* Thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
* Be reliable, proactive, and eager to learn from experienced professionals.
Experience working with children or young people is a plus, but full training and support will be provided.
