Business Development Manager UK & IRELAND #LI-IV1
As Business Development Manager for the UK & Ireland, you will lead strategic sales efforts across an assigned portfolio of global MICE accounts. Your mission: drive M&E Business revenue for Meliá Hotels International. You will build partnerships, close high-value deals, and implement innovative strategies to foster growth in the region.
Salary and Bonus: Competitive salary plus bonus.
Responsibilities include:
1. Develop and execute tailored sales strategies with the Head of Corporate & MICE Sales.
2. Act as a brand ambassador across BT and consortia markets.
3. Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities through account management.
4. Manage the RFP lifecycle to maximize participation of MHI properties.
5. Lead client meetings, hotel visits, and familiarization trips.
6. Analyze account data to inform strategies and drive revenue.
7. Maintain competitive intelligence in key markets.
8. Represent MHI at industry events to build business pipelines.
Required Skills and Experience:
* 3+ years in a similar hospitality role.
* Excellent English skills; Spanish a plus.
* Experience in hotel or chain sales.
* Proficiency in CRM and sales tools; ability to travel.
* Strategic, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong negotiation skills.
