About the role:
1. Delivery of extensive critical national infrastructure utilising market leading tools to future proof security and availability needs
2. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to lead projects from design through to implementation and take ownership of problems to ensure the necessary steps are taken to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
3. Project Engineering, including but not limited to Low Level Design activity, implementation services and consultancy services
4. Provide expert level support to all clients and act as an internal point of escalation for all support related incidents where required
5. Troubleshooting and diagnosis of all network and security related incidents
6. Mentoring other members of the team
Requirements
Here’s what the role looks like:
7. Experience of physical design input and build of networks including OT connectivity
8. Extensive experience in a similar role or field based / consulting role
9. CCNP, Routing, Switching & Security with Data Centre experience in Nexus
10. Strong understanding of network security principles and associated technologies
11. Experience of troubleshooting complex enterprise networks and associated technologies
12. Knowledge of Wide Area Networking technologies and associated routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF and BGP is essential to this role
13. Experience of administering and troubleshooting the following technologies and platforms is essential
14. Cisco ISR and ASR Routers (2900/4000/1000ASR)
15. Cisco Hyperflex and UCSx
16. Cisco ASA Firewalls
17. Cisco Switching (3850/3650/2960X/4500X) and associated technologies such as VTP, STP, VSS
18. Cisco Data Centre Switching (Nexus 5K/7K/9K) and associated technology such as VPC and VDC
19. IPSec VPN Configuration and Administration
20. Cisco FirePOWER IPS
21. Cisco FirePOWER Threat Defence
22. Cisco SD-WAN o Cisco DNAC and Prime
23. Cisco Wireless – WLC’s (C9800 series)
24. Palo Alto Networks Firewalls
25. Azure and AWS cloud environments
26. Security Clearance is desirable
27. Offshore certification is desirable
28. Experience of administering and troubleshooting the following is desirable
29. Cisco Meraki Wireless, Security and Switching technologies
30. Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
31. Cisco ACI - Application Centric Infrastructure HP and Aruba Platforms
32. Cisco DevNet API, SDK
