InternalInvestigationsOfficerThecouncilisseekinganexperiencedagencyinvestigatortoprovideshort-termcoverwithintheInternalAuditandCounterFraudfunction.Thepostholderwillworkwithminimalsupervision,undertakingreactiveinvestigationsintoallegationsofinternalfraud,financialirregularity,misconduct,briberyandcorruptioninvolvingcouncilemployees,contractorsandexternalparties. InternalInvestigationsOfficerTherolewillinvolveplanningandconductinginvestigations,gatheringandevaluatingevidence,interviewingwitnessesandsubjects(includinginterviewsundercautionwhereappropriate),andproducingclear,high-qualityreportswithfindingsandrecommendations.Theinvestigatorwillpreparecasestotherequiredstandardfordisciplinaryaction,civilrecoveryorprosecutionandensureevidenceishandledandstoredinaccordancewithlegalandproceduralrequirements. InternalInvestigationsOfficerThesuccessfulInternalInvestigationsOfficerwillhaveprovenexperienceofinternalorpublic-sectorinvestigations,stronganalyticalandreport-writingskills,soundknowledgeofrelevantlegislation(includingPACE),andtheabilitytomanageacaseloadtodeadlines.
