Job Title: Bid Manager - Rail Infrastructure
Due to expansion of the pre-contract team, Morgan Sindall's Rail business unit is seeking a Bid Manager to enhance bidding capacity.
The Bid Manager will be responsible for submitting timely, budget-conscious bids to existing and prospective clients, ensuring comprehensive responses and positioning Morgan Sindall for success.
This role suits an ambitious, driven individual who thrives in a high-performing, supportive team environment. Experience in the civil engineering industry, particularly with a main contractor in infrastructure, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and submit bids for civil engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
* Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and develop compelling proposals.
* Ensure all bid documents comply with client requirements and company standards.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
* Senior-level experience in work winning and bid management.
* Proven success in managing major bids and submissions.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a flat management structure.
* Innovative approach to winning quality-led bids.
* Experience in operational roles on major projects, ideally at project manager level.
* Understanding of commercial terms, procurement, and tender processes.
* Excellent writing and review skills for tender submissions.
* Knowledge of planning, civil engineering outputs, and installation processes.
* Experience with joint ventures, alliances, and collaborative working.
* Decisive judgment in ambiguous situations.
* Self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook.
