Mane Infrastructure Senior Electrical Engineer
Mane Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on behalf of our client, a leading M&E Engineering contractor involved in major electrical installations and fit-outs at a new energy-from-waste plant in West Bromwich.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide engineering expertise and supervisory/management support to ensure the successful delivery of electrical installations, with a focus on safety, quality, compliance, and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive operational supervision and technical guidance from various stakeholders including the Head of Electrical Engineering, Project Managers, Sector Managers/Directors, and Group Operation Director.
2. Undertake electrical engineering and design, ensuring compliance with current standards and prioritizing safety, maintainability, installation ease, sustainability, and environmental impact.
3. Conduct electrical engineering system studies and modeling using appropriate software programs.
4. Perform electrical design reviews to identify and rectify any weaknesses or errors.
5. Ensure Design Risk Assessment (DRA) aligns with installation parameters and provide engineered solutions to project challenges.
6. Manage design registers, meeting minutes, drawing registers, and formal communications.
7. Liaise with CAD teams to ensure accurate drawing modeling and resolution of interface problems.
8. Estimate engineering man-hours, contribute to engineering and project execution plans, and develop scope documents for tenders and procurement processes.
9. Collaborate with manufacturers and installation teams to ensure design suitability and resolve installation issues.
10. Work with commercial and planning departments to track design changes and ensure compliance with client procedures.
Key Requirements:
* Knowledge of relevant electrical engineering legislation, standards, and regulations.
* Familiarity with engineering and design processes, compliance, and electrical design software packages.
* Understanding of the 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and registration with recognized Engineering Council Institutions (IET, CIBSE, etc.).
* Experience in Power and Infrastructure Electrical Design Engineering positions.
