13. Experienced technicians will be provided with training towards Journeyman and Master License as well as other certifications.
Responsibilities
As a Residential HVAC Service Technician, you will diagnose, service, and repair home comfort systems across Maryland. This role is hands-on and customer-facing — you’ll work inside homes (including attics and crawl spaces) to troubleshoot issues, complete quality repairs, and restore systems safely and professionally. You’ll be trusted to work independently, represent the company well, and deliver the kind of workmanship customers remember.
Responsibilities
14. Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems with speed, accuracy, and professionalism
15. Perform service and repairs on:
Split systems
Heat pumps
Gas furnaces
Boilers (gas/oil where applicable)
Air handlers
Thermostats / zoning controls
Indoor air quality components (humidifiers, UV lights, filtration, etc.)
16. Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigerant, ignition, venting, and control issues
17. Confirm system performance after repair (temps, pressures, amps, static pressure when needed)
18. Communicate clearly with homeowners: problem, solution, pricing, and expectations
19. Document diagnostics, recommended repairs, and completed work in the system (notes, photos, invoices)
20. Work safely in residential environments including tight spaces, ladders, attics, crawl spaces as needed
21. Maintain a clean and professional service vehicle, tools, and appearance
22. Follow all company safety procedures, EPA guidelines, and Maryland licensing requirements
Qualifications
What You Need
23. 2+ years of residential HVAC experience
24. EPA Certification Required
25. Maryland Journeyman HVAC License a plus
26. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
27. Able to pass background and drug screening
28. Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and lift heavy equipment
