This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting children’s academic and personal development in a rewarding environment. Role Overview: As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will take on a more active and responsible role in the classroom, supporting both the class teacher and pupils. You will be expected to lead small group interventions, provide tailored 1:1 support, and occasionally cover planned lessons in the teacher’s absence. Role Responsibilities: Support pupils with varying learning needs across the classroom and in small groups. Prepare and adapt learning materials to suit individual needs. Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers. Assist in managing pupil behaviour and promoting positive attitudes to learning. Work collaboratively with staff to support the wider school community. Requirements for Level 3 Teaching Assistant: A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. Proven experience supporting pupils in a primary or secondary school setting. Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting learning. Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
