Job Summary
This Senior Carer role at a Barchester Healthcare residential care home involves leading a team of care staff, handling medication administration and ordering, updating care plans and assessments, and liaising with healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you will look after the diverse needs of residents to enable delivery of quality, person‑centred care and support. You will lead a team of care staff, including training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift. You will also support the administration and ordering of medication, review and update resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaise with GP’s, district nursing teams and resident family members. You will respect the dignity and preferences of residents and contribute to creating a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
* Previous experience in a residential care setting.
* Proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of residents.
