We are seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our experienced code team for exciting unannounced projects. Be part of large-scale projects crafted by a seasoned team renowned for creating exceptional shooters.
Your role as a Senior Gameplay Programmer involves developing and implementing gameplay code for the project using our in-house engine, ensuring integration aligns with technical constraints and project goals.
You will join a passionate, experienced team with a proven record of delivering quality experiences.
This opportunity is based in Oxford, Warwick, or Runcorn, with flexible work arrangements, including a relocation package, moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and support for a smooth transition.
While we value face-to-face collaboration and encourage working from our studios, we are open to hybrid options based on individual needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute gameplay code, focusing on creating and testing complex classes with intricate functionalities.
2. Collaborate across disciplines to foster a positive work environment.
3. Resolve bugs and address performance issues efficiently.
4. Conduct pre-commit testing to identify potential issues and maintain code quality.
5. Comment code adequately and adhere to coding standards.
6. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
7. Update tasks via Jira to monitor progress.
8. Assist team members and contribute to backlog review and prioritization.
Requirements:
1. Proficient in C/C++ with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
2. Experience with at least one published console or PC game, contributing to gameplay and game flow.
3. Skilled in multi-threaded programming for performance enhancement.
4. Knowledge of project scheduling, milestones, and objectives.
5. Understanding of industry best practices.
6. Passionate about shooters and cooperative gaming experiences.
