Overview
Make a Real Difference as a Band 6 Community Nurse in Tunbridge Wells!
Are you an experienced nurse looking for a rewarding role where you can truly impact patients' lives and empower them to thrive in their own homes? We're seeking passionate and skilled Band 6 Community Nurses to join our dynamic teams at Abbey Court in Tunbridge Wells.
Our service operates 7 days a week from 8 am - 6 pm. These extended working hours allow more flexible working for anyone looking for more flexible hours. Weekend working is generally on a 1:4 ratio with dedicated days off during the week to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Two teams support patients registered with GP practices in Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas, as part of the Tunbridge Wells Primary Care network. Each team has two senior nurses who take responsibility for a defined geographical area, providing clinical leadership to Band 5, Band 4 and Band 3 staff. The team works together to manage caseloads and deliver a high-quality service.
Main duties and responsibilities
We are looking for experienced and dedicated nurses with relevant clinical skills who are ready to embrace the unique challenges and rewards of community nursing. Candidates wanting to move to a community setting with advanced clinical skills or expertise will be considered. KCHFT is keen to support development; therefore, candidates without the specialist District Nurse qualification or a recognised advanced clinical skills/module will be considered for trainee posts.
Using the named nurse model, we aim to spend more time with patients, promote self-management where possible, and improve patient lives. You will need to have a full UK driving licence and drive your own car. Mileage costs can be claimed and NHS car lease provision is available after probation.
Together we can empower you to make a real difference to patients’ lives. The current environment has given us the opportunity to rethink how we provide our services at KCHFT. We support development and welcome applications from those who wish to achieve SPDN qualification.
