Key Responsibilities:
Test System Design & Planning
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to define and document electrical test requirements.
* Develop detailed test plans and procedures to verify system functionality and performance.
* Design and configure electrical test setups, including power distribution, wiring harnesses, control modules, and PLC systems.
* Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant safety standards and industry regulations.
Prototyping & Validation
* Build and assemble electrical prototypes for validation purposes.
* Integrate hardware and software for test systems and ensure operational readiness.
* Conduct functional and performance testing, troubleshooting issues, and performing root cause analysis.
* Recommend corrective actions and improvements based on test results.
Documentation & Reporting
* Maintain accurate technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and test reports.
* Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and high-voltage safety documentation.
* Manage and calibrate test equipment, identifying opportunities to enhance testing capabilities.
* Deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring quality standards are met.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience with an apprenticeship background.
* Hands-on experience in electrical testing, commissioning, and reporting.
* Familiarity with CAD tools for electrical design (AutoCAD or similar).
* Knowledge of high-voltage systems (up to 1000V) and communication protocols such as CAN.
* Experience with simulation tools and electrical analysis software.
* Understanding of power electronics, battery management systems, and electric vehicle architectures is advantageous.
* Skilled in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and thermal cameras.
* Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
* Maritime or automotive experience is a plus, but a proactive and innovative mindset is essential.
