Overview
A Sustainability Manager is required to lead and drive sustainability strategy across a major decommissioning and civil engineering project in a highly regulated environment. The role focuses on embedding sustainable practices, reducing environmental impact, and supporting delivery teams to achieve carbon reduction, resource efficiency, and wider ESG objectives.

This role would suit an experienced sustainability or environmental professional with a strong background in construction, infrastructure, or regulated industries. It is ideal for someone confident influencing stakeholders, leading initiatives, and taking ownership of sustainability performance while driving innovation and continuous improvement across complex, site-based operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and implement the project sustainability strategy, aligning with wider business and client objectives
* Drive carbon reduction, resource efficiency, and circular economy initiatives across the project
* Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, sustainability targets, and project requirements
* Monitor, analyse, and report on sustainability performance, including ESG metrics
* Engage with stakeholders, site teams, and supply chain to embed sustainable practices
Requirements
* Proven experience in a senior sustainability or environmental role
* Degree qualified in Environmental, Sustainability, or related discipline
* Experience within construction, nuclear, infrastructure, or similar sectors
* Strong understanding of carbon management and sustainability frameworks

circa £60k + £5.7k car allowance
