Supervisor of Center Operations (Possible progression to full time Duty Manager after Training &Probation for right candidate Hours per week (5 Days out of 7 INC some Evenings & Weekends) Part-Time contracts available .

We are currently on the lookout for a Centre Supervisor to Join the Leisure management team at the Nissan Sports & Leisure Complex

You Will have a Catering Bias with some experience of Bar operations, Functions and conference services etc. Understanding of kitchen operations would be a distinct advantage. We can train you in the rest

After a full 2 week Induction and training program shadowing Duty Managers you will supervise Centre operations, and any staff, on a daily shift basis and, have specific assigned responsibilities.

As a Multifunctional Operation on two levels we will train you in Bookings administration as well as overseeing support services for Conference, Functions & Meetings ( Some Lone working which you will be fully trained and supported by Nissan Site Security Team)

Candidates should be physically fit due to the busy operations over two levels.

This is a hands-on job with some light manual tasks .As a Centre Supervisor you must have some interest in working within a diverse range of operations to include ,Leisure, Function & Bars operations and be confident with front of house, table and bar services as you will be out leading from the front during Functions, Bar services, Conferences and Events .

Having an understanding of EPOS electronic Till systems and hand held Card reconciliation devices would also be useful..

The Job could suit a Commercial Caterer, Pub or Hotel Supervisor/Duty Manager looking for a refreshing change, or a Chef /Cook looking to break into operational and front of house management.

The Job entails some specific responsibilities which will be agreed with you based on your Skills during Induction Training, Once responsibilities are assigned regular reviews of your Performance and progress will be carried out by your line manager and you will have scope to feed back and communicate with your Line Manager on a weekly basis .

The Successful candidate will have a welcoming and friendly manner, a keen eye for attention to detail and be extremely customer service orientated. You will have worked in such as a branded Leisure, Pubs ,outside catering or hotel background with at least 2 years' experience at team leader or supervisory level. Candidates must be flexible with working hours to include some Evenings and weekends on a rota basis - issued 2 weeks in advance, A flexible approach to working hours will be required to respond to last minute client bookings requests/changes .

Qualifications /Requirements (Person Specification) some desirable not compulsory*

· 2 years' experience in similar environment at Team Leader /Supervisory/Duty Management level*

· Or- 2 years' experience in a Function orientated Business (Hotel, Pub or Catering )*

· Or- some experience with cooking /food preparations wanting to move to FOH

· Good written and verbal skills*

· Able to communicate effectively*.

· Self-starter / motivated and pro-active*

· Flexible and adaptable- with working hours (available evenings & weekends)*

· Full Clean Driving license desirable due to location, shifts and outside catering requirements

· Computer skills required (Excel/Word/Outlook)

· Physically Fit due to Light cleaning Duties, Light manual Labour, lifting and busy operations over 2 floors*

Starting Salary: £26'325 P.A (Training). Rising to £28'000 P.A( Duty Manger progression )

6months probationary period applies with 1 month, 3 month and 6 month milestone reviews. Additional Non -Contractual/Non-Consolidated Annual Performance related Bonus + Benefits apply and start on successful completion of Probationary period ).Paid nearest July & Dec month each year ( Total £1200 PA) .Target Earnings Annual £29'200

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.50-£14.40 per hour
