General Description:
This position performs a variety of administrative functions to support the Campus and Community Relations Coordinator where needed.
Duties and Tasks:
1. Creating basic marketing materials, presentation and signage
2. Maintain campus newsletter
3. Assist with planning and coordinating campus/community events and activities
4. Provide assistance with managing information and graphics for use across social media channels
5. Assist with supporting the needs of various campus committees
6. Answer telephones and manage emails
7. Other administrative duties as assigned.
***All applicants must reside in Virginia, Maryland or District of Columbia. Minimum Qualifications:
Required KSA's:
8. Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
9. Able to engage and interact with a variety of individuals at various professional levels
10. Proven skill with creating flyers, brochures, presentations and graphics, using Adobe products and other publication/presentation software (ex: Photoshop, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
11. Knowledgeable on creating databases using Excel
12. Efficiency with MS Office suite
13. Ability to conduct mail merges with office software applications
14. Excellent customer service skills
15. Outstanding organizational and project management skills
16. Consistently maintains a professional demeanor
17. Ability to work in groups and independently
Minimum Work Experience:
18. Experience in a customer service environment.
19. Experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
20. Experience in marketing, communications, and graphic design.
21. Experience working in an office setting/administrative role.
