About the Role
We are seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. Your role will involve conducting regular checks on the people we support to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep, preparing them for the next day, participating in pre-bed routines such as reading or watching TV, as well as making light suppers or snacks and ensuring everyone is ready for bed. The role also includes cleaning and administrative duties during the shift. You will need to administer medication and provide personal care throughout the night. We will provide full training and day‑to‑day help and advice from your Service Manager, Deputy and Senior Practitioners.
About the Service
Great Holm is home to over 34 people of mixed ages and genders living within 16 residential flats. There is a large garden, outdoor gym and patio located on‑site which everyone enjoys, especially on a sunny day. Due to the ageing population of our residents, we focus on maintaining the skills and independence our individuals already have, encouraging learning when appropriate.
Experience & Values
Experience isn’t always necessary. If you have the right attitude, good customer service skills, share our values and are willing to learn, you’re likely to be a great fit. We look for people who celebrate differences, and we strive to make all our staff feel included, valued and respected.
