JOB PURPOSE McConnell is a Principal Contractor who deliver external refurbishment, modernisation and planned maintenance services for the public and private sector across the UK. We employ the industry’s best people and are currently seeking an Assistant Site Managers to support our project management team in the delivery of roofing and coating contracts within our technical refurbishment department. * Reporting to: Site/Project/Contract Manager * Location: South Scotland * Salary: Depending on experience – attractive package * Working Hours: Full-time 8.00am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 4pm Friday ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Supporting in the coordination, management and delivery of projects ranging up to £1 million from pre-start through to completion and handover * Projects will predominantly involve roofing and coating remediation to various sectors including industrial, commercial and residential * Projects delivered are compliant with Design, Specification, Quality Standards * Ensuring full compliance with SHEQ Management Systems * Assisting in the production the Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments & Method Statements, Contract Programmes * Day to Day site management activities i.e. Inductions, Toolbox Talks, Site Inspections & Testing, Site Diary, Progress photos, Host Regular Meetings (Start Right Briefing, Progress, Safety, Client), * Monitoring programming and reporting of progress on a daily, weekly and monthly basis * Supervise, manage, drive, coordinate and liaise with site team (QS, Operatives, RLO if required) * Supervise, manage, drive and coordinate subcontractors * Liaison with Client and Others as appropriate PERSON SPECIFICATION: Essential: * Trade or academically qualified * Experience of managing multi-discipline trades * Valid SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid Certificates * Proven track record of on time, high quality project delivery * Clear communicator (written and verbal) * Self-motivated and organised
