HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our well-established client based in Cowley.
This is a fantastic opportunity, offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
Shifts:
* Monday to Friday, start times between 04:00 - 07:00
Rates of pay:
* Basic: £17.70 per hour
* Night Out: £25.00 per night

Day-to-day duties:
As a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Carrying out deliveries to organisations across the UK.
* Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
* Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
* Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required
Essential skills:
To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will need:
* A valid UK Category CE licence
* A minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
* A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
* Good spoken and written English
* Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
* A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills
Desirable experience:
* Previous commercial driving experience
Training:
* Driver's assessment must be completed before starting
