As part of a strategic growth plan, they are seeking a dynamic Logistics Manager to join their operational leadership team on the South Coast.
Job Description
This role will be predominantly based in the head office in Poole with occasional travel to their site in France. As Logistics Manager, you will report to the Head of Freight and have the following responsibilities:
* Overseeing all aspects of freight logistics, including scheduling, capacity planning, and real-time operations
* Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including hauliers, port authorities, and internal teams
* Ensuring the highest levels of health and safety compliance across port and vessel operations
* Leading, motivating, and developing a diverse operations team to deliver performance targets
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and enhance customer satisfaction
* Monitoring and managing KPIs around service levels, cost, and operational efficiency
* Supporting sustainability and innovation projects to enhance the environmental performance of operations
The Successful Applicant
The successful Logistics Manager candidate will possess the following skills:
* Fluent in English and French; Spanish is a bonus
* Overseeing all aspects of freight logistics, including scheduling, capacity planning, and real-time operations
* Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including hauliers, port authorities, and internal teams
* Ensuring the highest levels of health and safety compliance across port and vessel operations
* Leading, motivating, and developing a diverse operations team to deliver performance targets
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and enhance customer satisfaction
* Monitoring and managing KPIs around service levels, cost, and operational efficiency
* Supporting sustainability and innovation projects to enhance the environmental performance of operations
* Willingness to travel to French-based offices once per month
