Job Description: With our ongoing success in business growth, we are expanding our design team and have a new opportunity for a Graduate or mid-senior Engineer/Technician to join us to develop a wide range of clean technologies and renewable projects. The successful candidate will support work assignments covering all technical preliminary and construction level electrical and mechanical design drawings for our customers in both public and private sectors by working side by side with the design and development teams. This is a great role for someone to enter in renewable energy industry or further develop their existing career by involving at all level of projects from small commercial to large utility scale solar PV and battery energy storage systems. The ideal candidate must have a good level of technical expertise using AutoCAD as a minimum, willing to learn using new software packages, have a sound track record in working in MEP projects, preferably in energy and renewable projects. Key Responsibilities: - Supporting design engineers with tasks such as: - Creating preliminary layouts for rooftop/ground mount PV systems and BESS - Bringing together design packs by working together with design engineers ready for construction including detailed construction level drawings such as cable route, construction layouts, wiring layouts, elevation drawings, site plans - Creating bill of quantities from drawings - Willing to learn new AutoCAD plug-ins or new software packages such as PVCase - Attending regular project meetings - Developing comprehensive knowledge and understanding of entire project terms and technical requirements - Deliver other duties as required Minimum Qualifications: - Engineering or college degree, or equivalent preferably in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil engineering - Having a significant working experience of AutoCAD - Strong understanding of engineering principles associated with electrical/mechanical design - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint - Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills Personal Attributes: The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and have a flexible approach to work. They will be customer focused, passionate about energy efficiency, renewable energy and decarbonisation. They should be able to demonstrate good organisational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritise work under pressure and complete within deadlines.
