Composite Fitters (UK, Overseas)
Good hourly rates, umbrella contract, daily allowance, 6‑month minimum, accommodation allowance, defence and aviation systems, overseas travel required.
Composite Fitters will join a market‑leading innovative defence systems and aviation company and work as part of the overseas production team. The role involves precise lay‑up, trimming, fitting, and assembly of pre‑preg composite components to aerospace standards, ensuring safety‑critical parts meet the highest quality and regulatory requirements.
The candidates will possess hands‑on experience in aerospace manufacturing, strong technical ability and professionalism, and will represent the business with integrity when interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders in the UK and abroad.
Eligibility
Due to visa restrictions and overseas nature of the work, only EU Nationals or Dual Nationals who are also an EU National are considered. Applicants must have been a full‑time resident in the UK for a minimum of six years and qualify for Basic UK Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out autoclave loading/unloading and monitor curing process.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality, programmes and production teams to resolve builds.
* Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
* Inspect materials and finished components for defects, ensuring quality standards are met.
* Maintain a safe, clean and organised environment in line with company HSE policies.
* Operate hand tools, power tools and cutting equipment safely and accurately.
* Perform lay‑up, de‑bulking and vacuum bagging of pre‑preg composite materials.
* Trim, drill, fit and assemble composite components to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Work to tight tolerances and follow detailed technical instructions, build manuals and aerospace standards.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in Aeronautical or Composite Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
* Hands‑on, detail‑focused, able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
* Confidence, precision and pride in craft.
* Ensure all composite structures meet stringent aerospace standards.
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
* Familiarity with autoclave and oven curing operations.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Skilled in hand‑fitting, trimming/bonding composite parts.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to high accuracy.
* Experience with pre‑preg composite materials in industry.
* Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
* Experience in clean‑room or temperature‑controlled environments.
* Knowledge of NDT processes for composites (e.g., ultrasonic inspection).
* Knowledge of composite lay‑up techniques, curing processes and aerospace standards.
* Understanding of aerospace certification requirements (e.g., AS9100).
* Positive can‑do attitude and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Creative, resourceful under pressure and forward‑thinking.
* Ability to prioritise workload with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
* Resilient, self‑motivated and willing to travel overseas.
* Basic UK Security Clearance (required).
