Reed Business Support, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment partner, is proud to be working with a well-established international logistics company to recruit a Freight OperatorLogistics Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in strengthening their International Operations function.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Maintain, review, and create tariffs with agreed rates in collaboration with directors and the sales team
* Organise and manage shipments from start to finish alongside the Supervisor and Manager
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, transport companies, and suppliers
* Prepare quotations for import, export, and cross-trade within agreed timeframes
* Stay informed on market conditions and industry trends
* Monitor and report shipment status to clients
* Resolve pricing queries or complaints, escalating when necessary
* Review customs clearance paperwork and submit NES/import entries as required
* Handle ATA Carnets and Temporary Importation processes
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and relevant departments
* Take full responsibility for import and export shipments
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the transport and logistics industry, with a strong understanding of road freight and customs clearance
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* A proactive, can-do attitude and strong attention to detail
