You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor. Our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?
You'll ensure projects and operational activities go above and beyond our Environmental Management System and legislative compliance requirements.
You'll manage and develop Environmental Advisors and liaise with and report to the relevant leadership teams and client.
Drive awareness for and deliver the requirements of the Environment and Carbon strategies.
Find and raise innovations, writing business cases to support uptake.
You'll support on work winning and contract mobilisation where required and lead on environmental incident investigations, and support and advise on corrective actions.
We'll ask you to liaise with Regulators and other stakeholders to drive cross contract improvements, and carry out internal and external audits.
What You’ll Bring
* Experience working with operational teams to deliver environmental improvements;
* Experience working with external stakeholders and client organisations;
* Experience of managing environmental advisors;
* Work winning and contract mobilisation;
* Demonstrable passion for the Environment and Sustainability, driving innovation and an ability and desire to positively influence and develop those around them;
* Strong organisational and project management skills;
* Professional membership of IEMA (or equivalent) at the appropriate level;
* Competent IT skills.
