Job Description Head of European Enterprise Strategic Sales Job type: Full-time, Permanent Location: Remote (Field-based with travel to European office locations when required) Reporting to: Head of Enterprise Verticals, Elavon Europe Controlled Function: CF4 Role Overview The Head of European Enterprise Strategic Sales presents a unique opportunity to the successful candidate in helping to shape the strategic direction of our Enterprise segment in Europe, by assessing which verticals and sub-verticals we have scope to grow further in, which we have yet to have any significant presence in but should, and to take the lead in defining the plan and framework with which we will execute against to realise success. There are growth areas that have already been identified by Enterprise leadership, of which the successful candidate will be expected to help coordinate and realise commercial value in: Fuel and Government Franchise B2B proposition development (multi-vertical) Global customer opportunities across US Bank and Elavon Europe (where EU businesses have a presence in North America and vice versa) Scheme Engagement: building relationships with counterparts at Visa, Mastercard and other Scheme associations to enhance success with execution of card association products such as Cybersource, Tokenisation and others. This will be an individual contributor role initially (annual target for this role will be in line with the business case for growth set within our Emerging vertical), with a strong focus on developing plans, requirements and future target operating models to deliver and maintain growth in new verticals and sub-verticals, working in unison with Sales, Relationship Management, Partners, GTM and Sales Support. Effective clear communication of the strategic direction, growth initiatives, and commercial progress will be a key element of the role. The role will be a key enabler and facilitator of change within the Enterprise and broader Elavon Europe team encompassing people, process and platform (technology systems) perspectives. Accountabilities: Identify new (sub-) verticals which can be successful or adapt our strategy in how we sell into our existing verticals (e.g. government and public sector) across our Enterprise segment in Europe. Support our Emerging Vertical team in the designing, implementation and delivery of our European Fuel and Government Franchise strategy. Work with GTM to define and ‘launch’ a compelling B2B proposition for Enterprise merchants in Europe, including key features, pricing / commercials, target audience mapping and pipeline development. Align and drive relationship management and sales between US Bank’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG) and Elavon Europe, to drive mutual (incremental) commercial benefit across verticals and sub-verticals. Drive closer engagement with Scheme associations to improve our solution offering and look at ways to enhance our revenue potential through stronger collaboration on initiatives. Continually assess vertical and sub-vertical strengths, weaknesses opportunities and threats to ensure strategic alignment with Enterprise customers’ payments requirements and the business needs. Hands on sourcing and direct engagement into new business opportunities, driving consistency in its commercial overview and championing the successful execution of the opportunity Alignment on commercials, proposition, sales process and behaviours Product optimisation – ensure the Elavon product functionality and or partner functionality is fully utilised Optimal engagement with top tier prospects – inputs, outputs Understand the evolving customer requirements for payments and how Elavon’s own product and partner product set can support. Consultant on tender responses – link strategic direction with best practice to deliver the best possible tender response. Utilise their technical payments knowledge and experience to coach and guide Elavon Technical and Relationship teams. Consolidate segment, geographical, vertical and market specific Enterprise customer requirements into a prioritised plan of action aligning wider Enterprise Team and Shared Service functions. Provide monthly updates to the Enterprise leadership team and broader Enterprise team on the status of key strategic initiatives and the impact on current/future business performance. Understand the current performance, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats through engagement across the business and translate the insight into action. Work with the Enterprise team, finance and shared service teams on the overall profitability of specific areas of the Enterprise team business. Focus activities and initiatives on high profit (margin) areas.
