Wellbeing Support Assistant (School-Based)
Location: North Bristol
Pay: £92–£105 per day
Hours: Monday–Friday, term time only
Start date: September
We are working with a warm and welcoming primary school in North Bristol who are seeking a caring and committed Wellbeing Support Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a school-based, 1:1 Teaching Assistant role, where you will be paired with an individual pupil to provide tailored support throughout the school day.
School-based experience is desirable; however, we are primarily looking for the right personality and a genuine passion for supporting children’s wellbeing. As such, we will also consider applicants with informal childcare experience, such as youth work, church groups, holiday camps, or similar settings.
The role:
* Working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has additional needs
* Supporting the learning and wellbeing of children with SEN, which may include Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
* Helping pupils to access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence
* Supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
* Working closely with class teachers and the SEN team
The ideal candidate:
* Patient, nurturing, and resilient
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care-based experience welcomed)
* Passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
* Able to commit to full-time, term-time hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
