In this role, you will perform electrical/mechanical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on manufacturing assets and associated production equipment in production or assembly and test facilities. You will also support the Manufacturing Services Leader and Engineer to ensure objectives are met.
You will work at either the Machine Shop or the Foundry, leading edge manufacturing facilities producing Equiax and Single Crystal Nozzle Guide Vanes for Rolls-Royce Civil and Defence products.

What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of manufacturing assets such as CNC machines and related equipment. Your duties include:
* Carrying out routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks across various manufacturing assets.
* Ensuring manufacturing equipment is safe, available, and operational when needed.
* Reading and interpreting machinery drawings, circuit diagrams, schematics, manuals, and parts catalogues for maintenance and diagnostics.
* Identifying and recommending improvements to production equipment and procedures, researching and implementing these improvements.
* Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities with production staff, maintaining regular communication with team leaders and operators.
* Supporting induction and cross-training of team members.

* Time-served advanced engineering apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Please attach a photocopy of your apprenticeship completion certificate with your CV.
* Experience in preventative and routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and inspection on production equipment such as machine tools, vacuum furnaces, and chemical process lines.
* Willingness to participate in projects and continuous improvement activities.
* Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles and operations.
* Basic IT literacy.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
