Project Manager Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead key initiatives within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering complex projects from concept through to full-scale production, ensuring alignment with business goals, quality standards, and customer expectations.
This position reports to group level and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and quality. Occasional international travel may be required.
Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams to deliver key projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
* Manage the full project lifecycle including planning, execution, risk mitigation, and post-launch evaluation.
* Develop detailed project documentation including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
* Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., stage gate process, Gantt charts, dashboards) to monitor and report progress.
* Communicate regularly with stakeholders and senior leadership to provide updates on milestones, risks, and financials.
* Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into production.
* Support the development of business cases and cost-benefit analyses for new programs.
* Maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success.
* Ensure compliance with quality management systems and regulatory standards throughout all project phases.
* Drive continuous improvement and best practices in project management processes and tools.
Project Manager Experience & Background
* 3-5+ years of project leadership experience, including 1–2 years managing technically complex programs.
* Prior experience in an NPI or product development setting would be beneficial.
* Exposure to manufacturing environments and cross-functional coordination strongly preferred.
* Experience with customer-facing roles or account management is an advantage.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Skilled in using project management software (e.g., SmartSheet, MS Project, or similar).
* Effective communicator with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
* Analytical thinker with sound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
* Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution abilities.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
