We’re recruiting Casual Care Workers for our homes in Carlisle and Headsnook—warm, compassionate individuals who want to help young people recover from early life experiences and thrive.
Main Duties
1. Support daily routines: morning/evening tasks, personal hygiene, meals, school runs, activities, and bedtime
2. Promote independence, life skills, socialisation, and room cleanliness
3. Attend appointments and support activity plans and daily targets
4. Complete paperwork: day sheets, handovers, budgeting, checks, and daily records
5. Carry out household tasks: cleaning, laundry, shopping, meal prep, and kitchen hygiene
6. Complete safety checks (COSHH, fire, vehicle)
7. Build positive relationships with families and help organise family time
About You:
8. Flexibility to work up to ‑hour shifts with varied start times (:, :, :), including potential sleep‑ins
9. Understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care
10. Level Residential Childcare qualification (or willingness to work toward it)
11. Excellent communication, listening, and teamwork skills
12. Willingness to learn and complete an enhanced DBS (paid for by us)
13. Experience in EBD, social care, residential work, or youth work (advantageous)
