About The Role
This is a hands-on, person-centred role where no two days are the same. You will be supporting individuals in their own homes, helping them live safely, comfortably, and with dignity.
You will:
• Provide personal care including washing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
• Support individuals with autism by understanding routines, communication needs, and behaviours
• Assist with complex care needs such as PEG feeding, tracheostomy and ventilated care (training provided)
• Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times
• Build positive relationships with service users and their families
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate care records and follow care plans
• Respond calmly and safely to behaviours of concern where required
This role can be physically demanding but is incredibly rewarding. You will always be supported by a dedicated and experienced team.
Do you offer guaranteed hours or zero-hours?
Yes—we offer guaranteed hours in writing (15–35 hours per week). We also support flexibility where it suits you and the service.
Can I increase my income beyond my guaranteed hours?
Yes—overtime is available. Let your coordinator know your weekly availability and we’ll offer additional runs where possible.
I don’t have training—can I still apply?
Yes. Whether you’re experienced or new, we provide paid training and a supported induction—plus paid shadowing/buddy support so you’re confident in the role.
What support will I get once I start?
You’ll have a named local team, regular check-ins, and supervision. We don’t just train and disappear—we support you to succeed.
Do you offer additional qualifications (NVQs/RQFs)?
Yes. We support eligible staff into RQF/NVQ Level 2/3 and beyond, aligned to your role, performance, and contracted hours.
Do I have to pay for my DBS?
No. We don’t charge employees for DBS checks.
