Quantity Surveyor ?? Location: Oxfordshire, UK Permanent role The Role We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major highways drainage project in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven professional to take ownership of cost management, contracts, and financial control on a high-profile civil engineering scheme. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and financial aspects of highways and drainage works. Oversee cost planning, valuations, variations, and final accounts. Ensure compliance with NEC contracts (or equivalent forms). Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial success. Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting. Lead and mentor junior QS staff Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in highways, civil engineering, or drainage projects. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts. Excellent cost management, negotiation, and reporting skills. Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (RICS membership desirable). Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
