Overview
There is an opportunity available to join our Compliance Team within the Housing Investment team of Environment, Housing and Infrastructure of Renfrewshire Council.
Responsibilities
As part of the team, you will assist the Statutory Compliance Co-ordinator Gas, and Electric Safety (Housing) on the strategic management of Statutory Compliance and Regulatory undertakings related to HRA assets including the inspection and service regimes related to Gas and Electric Safety to ensure that Renfrewshire Communities and Housing Services (RCHS) is fully compliant and reduce any residual risk to its tenants, employees and third parties. Support the Procurement and Delivery of statutory compliance contracts, internal and external Quality Control/Quality Assurance arrangements and Monitoring and Reporting on performance.
You will assist in the development and delivery of the strategic approach to effectively managing Landlord Compliance statutory obligations and regulatory undertakings that reduces the risk, to customers, employees and third parties.
Qualifications
* CORGI Level 4 VRQ in Gas Safety Management in Social Housing or equivalent
* BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations
* IEE Wiring Regulations or similar electrical qualification for Fixed Electrical Equipment and Portable Appliance Testing regimes
* Experience of Statutory Health and Safety Compliance within the Social Housing Sector
* Experience in Gas Safety and/or Electrical Safety, analysing data and taking appropriate actions
* Self-motivated, effective communication, ICT, and presentation skills
* Knowledge of current legislation relating to Gas Servicing, or Electrical installation
* Organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
Desirable
* HNC or equivalent in construction or maintenance related discipline or Property/Building related specialism or Health and Safety qualification
* Full current driving licence
