The successful candidate will have worked preferably within a private nursery, being able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of caring for babies and children.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Lead Practitioner will be supported by a Room Leader and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running a childcare room.
* Maintaining positive relationships with customers
* Ensure the room to ensure high quality childcare and hygiene standards
* Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and room planning through the oversee, coordination and participation in activities
* Responsible for ensuring comprehensive development records
* Developing childcare practice with regard to SEN, behaviour management and inclusion
* Ensure the effective implementation of Key Worker system
* Responsible for performance management of team assigned
* Support, supervise, motivate and give clear guidance to staff reports
* Deputise for Room Leader as and when required.

* Qualifications, Skills, Experience
* A minimum of NVQ 3 in Childcare, or equivalent
* Experience of working in a childcare environment, specifically in a private nursery (0-4years)
* Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
* A current first aid at work, safeguarding and food hygiene qualifications are desirable
* Excellent knowledge of childcare and people management whilst also having an energetic and positive outlookBenefits & job details
